Refunds & Returns Policy
1General Policy
All payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in a written agreement. By purchasing any product or service, you acknowledge that fees are earned upon payment.
2Subscriptions
Subscription services auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund already-paid amounts
- You may cancel at any time via your account settings or by emailing info@bettertable.com
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You retain access until the end of the paid period
3Service Interruptions
Material service interruptions lasting more than 24 consecutive hours may qualify for prorated service credits (not cash refunds).
- Contact us within 10 days of the interruption
- Provide documentation of the issue
- Credits apply only to future invoices
- Credits expire after 6 months if unused
4Defective Digital Content
If digital offerings (courses, certificates, downloads) do not materially match their descriptions, we will remedy through:
- Repair or correction of the content
- Replacement with equivalent content
- Re-performance of the service
- Refund where legally required and no other remedy is feasible
5Chargebacks
We request that you contact us directly before disputing any charge with your payment provider. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting BetterTable may result in immediate suspension of your account and access to all services.
6EU/UK Consumers
- Digital content may be provided immediately after purchase
- By completing checkout, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge loss of the 14-day withdrawal right once delivery begins
- For services not yet performed, you may exercise withdrawal within 14 days
7Quebec Residents
- Auto-renewal cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
- Renewal reminders will disclose dates and pricing in advance
- Services must be fit for purpose and match their descriptions
- Additional rights under the Consumer Protection Act are preserved
8Physical Goods
Physical products (such as the BetterTable Card Game) are final sale and non-refundable, except:
- The item is defective upon delivery
- The incorrect item was shipped
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund.
9Food Audit Cancellations
Scheduled and confirmed food audit services follow these cancellation terms:
- More than 14 days before: full refund minus 10% administrative fee
- 7–14 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before: no refund
Rescheduling is available at no cost if requested more than 7 days before the scheduled date.
10How to Request a Refund
Contact us with the following information:
- Your name and email associated with your account
- Order number or transaction reference
- Description of the issue
- Supporting documentation (screenshots, photos)
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
